"There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people." --Theodore Roosevelt

"This nation is in danger of becoming a Third World nightmare with all the corruption, disease, illiteracy, violence and balkanization known all over the world. Illegal Aliens Account for $10.7 Billion of Nation’s Health Care Costs, Data Show

(CNSNews.com) – House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that “illegal immigrants are not covered” in the health care reform legislation that is now working its way through House committees. But when asked about illegal immigrants who go to public hospitals for care, Pelosi told CNN’s State of the Nation on Sunday the law requires that they be treated.

The cost of treating illegal aliens amounts to nearly $11 billion a year, according to calculations done by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), a non-profit group that opposes illegal immigration. And that cost is not expected to go away if a health insurance reform bill becomes law.

“If you’re in this country illegally, should you be able to get health care?” CNN’s John King asked Pelosi. “No, illegal immigrants are not covered by this plan,” she replied.

“And so what happens to a public hospital then, if they walk into the emergency room? The hospital I was at this week, they said, you know, they do 6,000 births a year there and 70 percent of them are for undocumented [patients],” said King.

“I don’t know about that,” said Pelosi. “But I do know that the law requires that if somebody comes in off the street and needs care, that is extended. What we see in this legislation is that people will have access to affordable health care, and it will diminish the number of people going into those private, public hospitals in the manner in which you described.”

According to FAIR’s Director of Special Projects Jack Martin, illegal immigrants cost federal and state governments an estimated $10.7 billion a year in health care spending. The numbers are contained in a report that FAIR plans to publish in the near future.

“The numbers that I’ve been running come up to a total of $10.7 billion a year,” Martin told CNSNews.com. Those costs include the cost of so-called “anchor babies” – babies born to illegal immigrant parents in U.S. hospitals, almost always at taxpayers’ expense.

Martin said that he included this cost in his estimate because while the newborns are technically U.S. citizens, taxpayers would never have had to pay their mothers’ medical bills had they not illegally entered the country.

“If the illegal immigrants were prevented from coming into the country or were encouraged to leave the country, that cost would disappear,” said Martin. “Emergency medical care for the delivery of children is the biggest [cost].”

Each anchor baby costs taxpayers an estimated $10,000 each on average, Martin said. These costs are usually paid through Medicaid, the federal program designed to aid America’s poor.

“It’s the same [cost] as any other Medicaid birth, it’s the delivery expenses that average in the neighborhood of about $10,000 per delivery,” he said.

Emergency room care for adults is another “significant” part of illegals’ overall burden, Martin said, one that is primarily borne by states, which subsidize the hospitals whose emergency rooms must treat illegal immigrants, no matter how minor their illness might be.

“It’s a fairly significant contribution,” Martin said, “it comes out of the pocket of the states for the most part because of the fact that it is not covered by Medicaid. The federal government has had a program of partial reimbursement of those expenses but that hasn’t been renewed [by this Congress]. It didn’t begin to cover those expenses [anyway].”

That $10.7 billion is not spread evenly throughout the country, Martin explained, but is borne primarily by states with high populations of illegal aliens -- states such as California, Texas, and Florida.

“In terms of locations, it basically flows with where the largest concentration of illegal immigrants are,” said Martin. “For example, California is the largest and just within the state – not including federal monies – I get that [cost] at $1.6 billion per year.”

In fact, state governments bear the heaviest burden for subsidizing the health care of illegal immigrants. Martin said he calculated that, all told, states pay $6.9 billion per year to care for their illegal immigrant populations.

“The estimates of the costs that are paid by the states in total run to about $6.9 billion,” he said. “The difference between that and the over $10 billion figure is the amount that is paid out of federal funds.”

Martin’s figures are similar to those reported in a 2004 study published by the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), which showed that illegals accounted for $6.4 billion of federal health care spending – the CIS study did not examine states expenditures.

The CIS study did include federal programs for which illegal immigrants are legally barred, such as Medicaid. However, federal funds still flowed their way due to the fact that illegal immigrant parents gain access to federal welfare and health care benefits through their U.S.-born children.

According to the CIS study, illegals accounted for 13.1 percent of all federal costs of covering the uninsured in 2004, an estimated $2.2 billion per year. Seventeen percent of households headed by an illegal immigrant were using Medicaid, accounting for 1.7 percent of all Medicaid recipients.

These trends look to continue if President Obama gets his way on health care reform, Martin said, because the legislation currently making its way through Congress would leave “very large” loopholes, loopholes that are not likely to be closed.

“The current health care bill is looking as if it is leaving a very large loophole for medical coverage being provided to illegal aliens,” Martin said.

“There’s one provision that says they won’t be eligible, but the current legislation as it’s being written does not establish any system of verification as to whether or not a person is legal or illegal.”

obama Health Plan to Cover 12 Million Illegal Aliens

On Friday, Democrats moved one step closer to giving free health insurance to the nation’s estimated 12 million illegal aliens when they successfully defeated a Republican-backed amendment, offered by Rep. Dean Heller, R-Nev., that would have prevented illegal aliens from receiving government-subsidized health care under the proposed plan backed by House Democrats and President Barack Obama.

The House Ways and Means Committee nixed the Heller amendment by a 26-to-15 vote along straight party lines, and followed this action by passing the 1,018-page bill early Friday morning by a 23-to-18 margin, with three Democrats voting against the plan.

The Democratic plan will embrace Obama’s vision of bringing free government medical care to more than 45 million uninsured people in America – a significant portion of whom are illegal aliens.

According to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, costs under the Obama plan being proposed by the House will saddle citizens with $1.04 trillion in new federal outlays over the next decade.

Congressional Democrats and Obama have argued that their health plan is necessary to contain rising health care costs.

But, last Thursday, CBO Director Douglas Elmendorf testified before the Senate Budget Committee and warned lawmakers that the proposed “legislation significantly expands the federal responsibility for health care costs."

A key factor increasing costs is that Democratic plan provides for blanket coverage to as much as 15 percent of the U.S. population not currently insured, including illegals.

Democrats had insisted throughout the health-care reform debate that illegals would be ineligible for the so-called public option plan that is to be subsidized by taxpayers.

"We're not going to cover undocumented aliens, undocumented workers," Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., the chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, told reporters in May. "That's too politically explosive."

Republicans, however, point out that the Democrats, by refusing to accept the Heller amendment, would deny health agencies from conducting simple database checks to verify citizenship. Many states give illegals driver licenses, which will be sufficient to get free health care under the plan.

Critics also contend that millions of illegals who already have counterfeit Social Security cards or other fraudulent documents. There is no enforcement mechanism in the legislation, experts say, to prevent illegals who use fake IDs to obtain jobs from also obtaining taxpayer-subsidized health insurance.

GOP representatives introduced the amendment to provide a way to weed out non-citizens from the program.

A description of the amendment on Heller's Web site state it would "better screen applicants for subsidized health care to ensure they are actually citizens or otherwise entitled to it."

The Web post added, "The underlying bill is insufficient for the purpose of preventing illegal aliens from accessing the bill’s proposed benefits, as it does not provide mechanisms allowing those administering the program to ensure illegal aliens cannot access taxpayer-funded subsidies and benefits."

The Heller amendment would have required that individuals applying for the public health care option would be subject to two systems used to verify immigration status already in use by the government: The Income and Eligibility Verification System (IEVS) and the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program.

The two systems cross-reference Social Security numbers and employment information to establish whether an individual is a U.S. citizen.

Critics: Free Health Care Means More Illegals

A recent Rasmussen Reports poll found that an overwhelming 80 percent of Americans oppose covering illegals in any public health care bill.

Anti-immigration activists say the availability of low-cost benefits, including health insurance and in-state tuition, will only lure more immigrants to come to the United States.

Political analyst Dick Morris, in his recently released best-selling book “Catastrophe”, warns that giving illegal free health care will lead to a flood of new illegals who can take advantage of such a benefit not offered in their home countries.

William Gheen, president of Americans for Legal Immigration, agrees with that sentiment, writing, "Each state and federal elected official must know that illegal aliens should not be given licenses, in-state tuition, mortgages, bank accounts, welfare, or any other benefit short of emergency medical care and law enforcement accommodations before they are deported."

But a small fraction of illegals end up deported, as many make widespread use of fake IDs to easily gain access to government benefits programs.

"Experts suggest that approximately 75 percent of working-age illegal aliens use fraudulent Social Security cards to obtain employment," wrote Ronald W. Mortensen in a recent Center for Immigration Studies research paper. Mortensen says one of the big misconceptions about illegals is that they are undocumented.

James R. Edwards Jr., co-author of The Congressional Politics of Immigration Reform, recently wrote on National Review Online that "it's hard to envision how health reform can avoid tripping the immigration booby trap."

Edwards says none of the legislation under consideration actually requires any state, federal, or local agency to check the immigration status of those who apply for the program.

The assumption is that companies have vetted their employees to ensure they are eligibility for legal employment – a difficult task for employers given the active market in fraudulent documents. Thus Edwards maintains "some of the money distributed … inevitably would go to illegal aliens."

The estimates of illegal aliens in the United States without health insurance vary. The most commonly cited statistic, attributed to the Center for Immigration Statistics and the U.S. Census Bureau, holds that 15 percent to 22 percent of the nation's 46 million uninsured are illegal aliens. That would be between 6.9 million and 10.1 million people. During the 2008 presidential campaign, Obama claimed the nation United States has 12 million or more undocumented aliens.

John Sheils of the Lewin Group, a health care consulting firm owned by UnitedHealth Group, recently told National Public Radio that about 6.1 million illegals – about half of all illegals in the United States – lack documentation and therefore would not be legally eligible for benefits under the current health care reforms.

Sheils says the other half of the nation's illegals – 5 million to 6 million – use false documents to obtain on-the-books employment. Many of them are already insured under their employers' plans, he added.

"A lot of those people are getting employer health benefits as part of their compensation," Sheils told NPR.

Certainly, some contend that undocumented workers who are gainfully employed and receiving benefits such as health insurance are contributing to society. But the fact remains that, once equipped with a fake ID, a person in the United States illegally can obtain both a job and the benefits that go with it.

Estimates of the cost of providing illegals with medical care vary. Most uninsured illegals who need medical attention obtain it from hospital emergency rooms. And several states are already straining under the huge burden of paying for the health costs of illegal aliens.

According to the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), in 2004 California's estimated cost of unreimbursed medical care was $1.4 billion. Texas estimated its cost at $850 million annually, and Arizona at $400 million.

Non-border states shoulder heavy burdens as well. Virginia's annual cost of providing health care for undocumented workers is approximately $100 million per year, FAIR reports, while Florida's health care cost is about $300 million annually.

One of the ironies of the proposed legislation is that it would fine American citizens who opt not to purchase insurance coverage, but would exempt illegals from such fines. This is presumably due to the fact that they are not supposed to participate in the program anyway.

Even if no illegals were likely to benefit from health care reform, Democrats have made it clear that amnesty is the next item on their ambitious legislative agenda.

"I've got to do health care, I've got to do energy, and then I'm looking very closely at doing immigration," Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., declared in June.

Reid explained the urgent need for amnesty in terms very similar to those that Democrats have used to press for health care reform. "We have an immigration system that's broken and needs repair," Reid said.

Immigration expert Edwards, for one, says health-care reform may itself need serious medical attention before it is healthy enough pass through Congress.

"The American people may soon realize how much health reform will benefit immigrants and cost the native-born," he writes. "When that happens, the volatile politics of immigration could derail universal health care."

Illegal Alien Gets Jail For Causing 2 Deaths In Accident

A Howard County judge sentenced an illegal immigrant from Mexico to three years in prison Monday after the 21-year-old man pleaded guilty to two counts of negligent vehicular homicide while driving under the influence of alcohol.

Jose Rosendo Algomeda-Santiago will be deported once he serves his prison term, public defender Lou Willemin said after the sentencing. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement confirmed that.

Circuit Judge Louis A. Becker III rejected a request from the families of the two passengers killed - both of whom were Santiago's cousins - to deport him immediately.

Along with a friend, Gonzalo Gutierrez-Molina, the group was headed from a Washington club back to their Carroll County homes about 4 a.m. March 1, traveling on a snowy, icy road.

Santiago lost control of a 1995 Volkswagen Jetta belonging to Gilberto Garcia Vasquez, and the car skidded across a double yellow line on Route 32 in Dayton and crashed backward into a truck headed in the opposite direction.

The force of the collision threw Vasquez, who was sitting in the back seat, into some woods. Vasquez was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger, Victor Guitierrez-Almeida, was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma, where he died the next day.

Blood in alcohol

Santiago was also briefly hospitalized there with a concussion and scapular fracture. Santiago's blood-alcohol was measured at 0.09, just above the state's legal limit of 0.08.

After his arrest, U.S. immigration officials put a detainer on Santiago, meaning he was believed to be in this country illegally. Santiago was held on $1 million bond.

Several of Santiago's friends and family were in court, tearfully listening to the interpreter recount the accident. Gutierrez-Molina, who was injured in the accident, spoke on their behalf in support of Santiago.

"I feel bad. I don't believe it's his fault," said Gutierrez-Molina, a friend of Santiago.

Gutierrez-Molina said that everyone else in the group was "very drunk," and Willemin said that Santiago was the "least impaired."

Autopsies later showed that Vasquez' blood alcohol level could have been 0.37, and that both he and Guitierrez-Almeida had cocaine in their systems.

Blaming the snow

Gutierrez-Molina said that after he and Santiago got out the car, Santiago blamed the snow for causing the accident. "Damn snow," he recalled Santiago said.

Becker said that after seeing Santiago in court, the judge didn't believe Santiago's claim that he had consumed only three beers that night, two before leaving his Mount Airy residence and another at the club.

Becker said that the sentence was based in part on the fact that Santiago was over the legal limit. Becker said that he could have sentenced Santiago to up to 10 years.

Willemin said that the families of the two men who died went as far as to go through an official procedure in Mexico to "renounce any illegal act" on Santiago's part and ask for him to be deported back to his mother.

After the sentencing, Willemin explained through an interpreter to the group of Santiago's friends and family what was going to happen to him.

"It's just a sad situation," Willemin said.

Assistant State's Attorney Danielle Duclaux declined to comment.

Illegal Alien Pleads Guilty to Charges in Rockingham County

The man accused of a May felony hit-and-run spent the morning in Rockingham County Circuit Court. Denni Garza-Corado entered a guilty plea on two charges.

Garza-Corado sat along side an interpreter and his attorney. He pleaded guilty to felony hit-and-run and driving under the influence.

Garza-Corado was sentenced to five years and 60 days with all but ten days suspended.

He has essentially served his ten day sentence because he's been in jail since the end of May.

In May, Garza-Corado was driving on south High Street in Harrisonburg when he hit a car in the southbound lane, spun into oncoming traffic and hit another car.

Garza-Corado says he ran from the scene because he was scared. After being arrested, he blew a .15 on a breathalyzer test.

He has a customs detainer against him, because he is in the United States illegally.

The Commonwealth's Attorney says there's a high probability Garza-Corado will be deported as a result of his guilty plea Tuesday.

Another Illegal Alien Fugitive Murderer Nailed at Border

US federal agents nabbed a 21-year old illegal alien wanted in Texas for murder attempting to escape back into Mexico.

US Customs and Border Protection officers and Border Patrol agents working at the Hidalgo International Bridge apprehended a Mexican male wanted for capital murder and seven warrants for auto theft.

Last Tuesday, CBP officers and Border Patrol agents while working outbound enforcement operations at the Hidalgo International Bridge encountered a passenger in a southbound taxi as he attempted to exit the United States to enter Mexico. CBP officers along with Border Patrol agents stopped the taxi for a routine outbound inspection.

The male passenger, later identified as Juan Manuel Sosa, a Mexican citizen and resident of Houston, Texas was referred for further inspection. During the secondary inspection, checks of a CBP database identified Juan Manuel Sosa as the subject of eight active arrest warrants from the cities of McAllen and Rio Grande City, Texas.

Juan Manuel Sosa has an active warrant from the city of McAllen for capital murder and seven active warrants from Rio Grande City for auto theft.

CBP officers and Border Patrol agents arrested Sosa and subsequently turned him over to the custody of McAllen Police Department. Sosa was transported to the McAllen city jail and will face charges there before being transferred to Rio Grande City.

“This is but one example of a vicious killer seeking asylum in his home country after evading arrest. In this case they succeeded in capturing the suspect, but too often murders and rapists are successful in evading arrest by sneaking back into Mexico,” said a former NYPD detective.

Detective Ben Cardoza went on to show that the Sosa case is not an isolated incident by revealing the following information he compiled from Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Homeland Security reports:

•95% of warrants for murder in Los Angeles are for illegal aliens.
•83% of warrants for murder in Phoenix are for illegal aliens.
•86% of warrants for murder in Albuquerque are for illegal aliens.
•75% of those on the most wanted list in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Albuquerque are illegal aliens.
•24.9% of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally
•40.1% of all inmates in Arizona detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally
•48.2% of all inmates in New Mexico detention centers are Mexican nationals here illegally
•29% (630,000) convicted illegal alien felons fill our state and federal prisons at a cost of $1.6 billion annually
•53% plus of all investigated burglaries reported in California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and Texas are perpetrated by illegal aliens.
•50% plus of all gang members in Los Angeles are illegal aliens from south of the border.
•71% plus of all apprehended cars stolen in 2005 in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and California were stolen by Illegal aliens or “transport coyotes”.
•47% of cited/stopped drivers in California have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 47%, 92% are illegal aliens.
•63% of cited/stopped drivers in Arizona have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 63%, 97% are illegal aliens
•66% of cited/stopped drivers in New Mexico have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 66% 98% are illegal aliens.
•380,000 plus “anchor babies” were born in the US to illegal alien parents in just one year, making 380,000 babies automatically US citizens.
•97.2% of all costs incurred from those births were paid by the American taxpayers.
•66% plus of all births in California are to illegal alien Mexicans on Medi-Cal whose births were paid for by taxpayers

Prosecutor: 10-year-old Weymouth girl raped by babysitter’s illegal alien boyfriend

WEYMOUTH — The 10-year-old girl kept telling her baby sitter’s boyfriend to stop as he pulled on the waistband of her pants four times, the prosecutor said.

But the boyfriend, Genesis Orrego Gonzales, didn’t listen as they sat on a bed in the house Gonzales shared with the baby sitter, the girl told police later.

On Wednesday, Gonzales, 29, of Weymouth, was charged with rape of a child with force and indecent assault and battery of a child under 14.

An innocent plea was filed at his arraignment, which took place Thursday in Quincy District Court. He was ordered held on $10,000 cash bail or surety of $100,000 guaranteed by a bond, real estate or other property.

The federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency is holding Gonzales, who told police he came to the U.S. illegally from his native Guatemala more than 10 years ago. He told them he walked from Guatemala to Texas over a period of four months, according to a statement made in court Thursday.

Tuesday was one of several times the girl and her brother had been to the Weymouth house where Gonzales has lived for the past two months with his girlfriend, according to statements made in court. Gonzales’ niece was also at the house.

Nothing was said in court to explain how or why Gonzales and the 10-year-old girl were sitting on a bed when the alleged rape occurred. When Gonzales’ girlfriend, the baby sitter, saw that the young girl was upset, she asked what was wrong, the prosecutor said, reading from a police report.

The girl, who also lives in Weymouth, began crying, the prosecutor said, telling the baby sitter she had used the bathroom and it burned.

She later told police at South Shore Hospital that Gonzales had penetrated her with his finger and that “it hurt” when Gonzales touched her.

Doctors told police there were “superficial areas of injury” on the girl, and evidence of penetration.

Gonzales denied the girl’s story to both his girlfriend and police, saying he had rubbed her back and shoulder area. He did not allow police to take a sample of his DNA, the prosecutor said, without explaining why police wanted a DNA sample.

Gonzales’ court-appointed attorney, Ethan S. Yankowitz, said Gonzales does roofing and siding work and has no criminal record in Massachusetts other than a now-resolved shoplifting charge from 2000. He is the father of two children, both of whom live in North Carolina, he said.

Gonzales’ girlfriend sat in the courtroom during the arraignment Thursday. After the court session, she declined to identify herself. Yankowitz said the two have been dating for a year and a half.

Gonzales will return to court July 29 for a probable-cause hearing.

The police report on the investigation was sealed and not available to the public after the Norfolk County district attorney’s office asked that it be impounded because it involved a sexual assault.

There was nothing said in court to explain what happened after the girl told Gonzales’ girlfriend about the incident. Who notified the girl’s mother or police was unclear, as was who took the girl to South Shore Hospital.

Weymouth police and the district attorney’s office declined to provide Gonzales’ address, where the alleged assault occurred.

The Weymouth police log includes no mention of the arrest. An entry marked 1:05 p.m. Wednesday states: “Investigation SAIN – Norfolk DA’s office.” District attorney spokesman David Traub said SAIN is the district attorney’s sexual assault investigation division.

Voter fraud by illegal aliens ignored by government and media

While the mainstream news media are beginning to cover the story of rampant voter fraud perpetrated by liberal organizations such as ACORN, don't expect reporters to provide anymore than a passing interest in preventing illegal aliens -- or even legal immigrants -- from voting.

While President Barack Obama scolded corporate America, his service as an attorney for ACORN in the past prevents him from even once mentioning local, state and federal investigations of that organization as a result of numerous voter fraud allegations.

When voters discover fraud by a candidate they react. For example, in a 2006 congressional race in southern California between Republican Brian Bilbray and Democrat Francine Busby, Busby told a room full of illegal aliens that they didn't need "papers" — meaning identification — to vote. Thank goodness it was recorded and played on talk radio shows across the nation. Busby lost because she got caught saying what many other Democrats may tell illegal aliens.

A recent study released by the conservative think-tank the Heritage Foundation provides proof that illegal aliens and immigrants with green cards are committing rampant voter fraud in the United States.
Reports of ineligible persons registering to vote have raised concerns about state processes for verifying voter registration lists. States usually base voter eligibility on the voter's age, US citizenship, mental competence, and felon status.

Although individual states run elections, Congress has authority to affect the administration of the elections. The Help America Vote Act of 2002 (HAVA) had set a deadline for states to have a statewide voter registration list and list verification procedures.

For example, the methods used in seven selected states to verify voter eligibility and ensure accuracy of voter registration lists were varied and include relying on registrant self attestation, return mailings, and checking against lists of felony convictions or deceased individuals. Some states, for instance, failed to do any more than ask on their application forms if the registrant was a US citizen. The applicant will merely check off the "Yes" box, but there is no action taken to verify the authenticity of that answer.

"The voter registration officials simply take the word of the registrant with no follow-up," said conservative political strategist Michael Baker.

"Some states that require some backup documentation merely ask for a utility bill or a driver's license — neither of which prove citizenship. In other words, legal or illegal aliens can easily register to vote in local and national elections," warns Baker.

According to a Congressional study of voter fraud, other challenges such as identifying duplicate registrations in other states or having insufficient information to match other data sources with voter registration lists may continue to be issues. < http://www,gao.gov/htext/d05478.html >

While federal data sources have the potential to help state election officials identify registrants who may be convicted felons or non-citizens, few states communicate with federal agencies such as the Homeland Security Department's immigration section.

Many government officials — mostly liberals — claim that illegal aliens voting is not a major problem, conservative activists respond that while the potential number identified may be small, an election can be decided by a few votes. In 2000, the presidential race between Democrat Al Gore and Republican George W. Bush was decided by a few hundred votes in Florida.

"While the news media perpetuated the assertion that Bush and the GOP 'stole' the election, it could very well have been illegal aliens voting in Florida that made the outcome so close," said former NYPD cop, now security firm owner, Sid Francis.

"Bush may have beaten Gore by more votes if illegals were excluded, since immigrants tend to vote for Democrats. Or Gore could have won decisively had there been prior screening before people were allowed into the voting booths," said Det. Francis.

"There was absolutely no mention in the mainstream media regarding suspected voter fraud by illegal or legal aliens. It was much easier for the agenda-driven newspeople to accuse Republicans of stealing the election," added Baker.

"Florida is not unique. Thousands of non-citizens are registered to vote in some states, and tens if not hundreds of thousands in total may be present on the voter rolls nationwide. These numbers are significant: Local elections are often decided by only a handful of votes, and even national elections have likely been within the margin of the number of non-citizens illegally registered to vote," said Hans A. von Spakovsky, a researcher at the Heritage Foundation.

"There is no reliable method to determine the number of non-citizens registered or actually voting because most laws to ensure that only citizens vote are ignored, are inadequate, or are systematically undermined by government officials. Those who ignore the implications of non-citizen registration and voting either are willfully blind to the problem or may actually favor this form of illegal voting," said Spakovsky, an expert on the subject of illegal aliens and immigration law, during an interview on Fox News Channel.

As far as felons, US Attorneys are required to notify state election officials of federal felony convictions, but the information is not always easy for election officials to interpret or complete, according to New Jersey GOP strategist Janice Martin.

"Americans would be shocked to discover that hundreds of thousands of general election voters are illegal aliens, green-card immigrants, and criminals who've murdered, raped and robbed US citizens. And guess which political party benefits the most from their votes? The one that's pushing for amnesty and a bag full of free goodies," said Martin.

Dr. von Spakovsky believes many government officials and politicians are complicit in the voter fraud problem.

"To keep non-citizens from diluting citizens' votes, immigration and election officials must cooperate far more effectively than they have to date, and state and federal officials must increase their efforts to enforce the laws against non-citizen voting that are already on the books," he wrote in his Heritage Foundation study on illegal alien voter fraud. < http://www.heritage.org/ >

Just last month, in an extremely close race in Minnesota between incumbent Senator Norm Coleman and comedian Al Franken, Franken was finally declared a winner months after the actual election. While the recount battle raged, no one within the government or within the news media gave a thought to investigating whether or not illegal aliens or legal immigrants voted in the Minnesota for that contested senate seat. Franken's win gives the Democrats something they dreamed of achieving -- a 60 seat majority that would ward off any Republican filibuster of their liberal-left legislation.
"While the liberal media and the liberal establishment ignore what is a huge scandal, American voters are having their rights violated. When an illegal alien or felon or other person prohibited by law to vote, their votes cancels out those of American citizens," warns Baker.

"Liberals want illegal aliens and felons to vote. They benefit from such rampant fraud."
