What? A group of students were protesting that Rutgers University imposes a higher out-of-state tuition rate for illegal immigrants who grew up in New Jersey.
Yes, we have free speech. But, come on, talk about something intelligent. (In-state tuition for illegal immigrants) has got to be the stupidest cause yet.
What part of “illegal” don’t these supposedly learned students get? If you are an illegal immigrant, you should not even be in our country, let alone taking up space in our colleges, and probably getting assistance while doing it. Aren’t we overtaxed enough?
“Illegal” means you should not be entitled to any benefits. Some of these illegal aliens who attend Rutgers graduated from New Jersey schools. What the heck is wrong with our state and all the other states that let this happen?
You want to be in the United States? Do it the right way — legally. And speak English. You want to speak your own language? Fine, do it in your home, not in public.
And companies with phone systems that say “Press 1 for English?” Hey, if callers can’t speak English, too bad!
I, for one, am tired of our great country rolling over and exposing its belly like a lap dog waiting to be petted. We need to stop being so politically correct. Stop trying to please everyone.
You want to be in these United States? Well then, act like it. Take our citizen test, speak English, get a job, pay taxes — be an American!
