VIOLENT SEXUAL PREDATORS WHO ARE ILLEGAL ALIENS

Violent sexual predators armed with handguns and rifles are social menaces and medical hazards. Surprising numbers of armed violent sexual predators are illegal aliens. Illegal alien invaders flout basic American law and bring sexually transmitted diseases to California, Arizona, Texas, and heartland states such as Iowa and Minnesota.

People convinced illegal aliens are good for America's economy must learn how bad Illegal Alien sexual predators are for America's children.

I was flying to lecture at a medical meeting in the mid-west and on the aircraft sat next to a man who by posture and deportment seemed to belong to the military or law enforcement. He is an Agent with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), the largest investigative arm of the Department of Homeland Security. His major work is to capture and deport illegal alien violent sexual predators. ICE recently added a new sex-crime section to its responsibilities for enforcing border, economic, infrastructure, and transportation security laws, and for preventing terrorism. Last year, ICE launched Operation Predator to target illegal aliens whose sex crimes, especially against children, make them deportable from the United States.

Des Moines, Iowa, ICE agents recently arrested 14 convicted sexual predators. Nationwide, ICE agents arrested 2,600 sexual predators, many well-armed.

Here are a few examples of horrifying illegal alien armed sexual predators in America's heartland. These typify the national invasion.

The Des Moines ICE office and the local U.S. Attorney's Office arrested and indicted Nicolas Sandoval-Medina, 24, of Mexico, the twice-deported child molester caught with 25 pounds of drugs, 6 rifles, 2 handguns, and much ammo. Sandoval-Medina likes young girls. He first came to ICE attention when agents arrested him for sex with a 12-year-old girl in a Des Moines motel room. America couldn't easily get rid of him. He arrived illegally in 1996, was deported in July 1997, re-entered illegally, and then in December 1999 was convicted again on two counts of Lascivious Acts with a Child. Criminally prosecuted for the felony of re-entry after deportation, he was removed to Mexico again in July 2000. He came back.

ICE in Minnesota recently deported the despicable illegal alien sexual predator who bound, gagged, and raped a 5-year-old Minnesota girl. Mexican Jaime Sanchez-Hernandez, 31, was convicted of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the First Degree in October 1999. ICE arrested him after his release from the Moose Lake Correctional Facility after serving a 57-month sentence for the rape of the child.

In our treatment of illegal aliens, the criminal justice world is upside-down. Rationality demands that a criminal conviction of an illegal alien should lead to his immediate deportation. Rationality demands immediate deportation for an illegal alien after he serves his sentence in our prisons. But American law does not routinely deport the illegal alien felon either before or after prison. Our prisons release the illegal alien right back into the town he had just terrorized by his heinous acts.

The only way ICE agents know that an illegal alien such as Sanchez-Hernandez who should be deported will be let out of prison is if they can secure a legal instrument called a detainer. A detainer requires the correctional facility to notify an interested law enforcement agency before the illegal alien prisoner is released so that the convict can be deported immediately after incarceration. ICE Field Office Director Scott Baniecke praised "law enforcement partners working together….Otherwise, this violeent offender might have been released back into the community." When Sanchez-Hernandez was sentenced, the little girl's 9-year-old brother who had discovered the rapist attacking his little sister said he would remember forever the picture of his 5-year-old sister tied up.

What's next for sexually violent predators after prison? Evidence suggests that once a predator, always a predator. Neither incarceration nor therapy prevents predators from repeating their vile sex crimes. Only chemical or surgical castration impedes most penetrating evils. But castration does not necessarily curb predators' violence. Some states that cannot easily deport illegal alien sexual predators place them in mental hospitals. Eight states, including California, incarcerate sexually violent predators in hospitals after jail terms. Thirteen other states, including Texas and New York, are creating similar legislation for this process called civil commitment. States with civil commitment generally review the violent sexual predator's case after two years to release him if demonstrating trustworthiness for functioning in society. This is absurd for illegal alien violent sexual predators, as it is ridiculous for home-grown citizen felons. Since the psychiatric treatment, such as it is, usually fails, the sexual predators attack again until they are caught again.

In Kansas, a sexually violent predator after release from prison will be confined to a mental hospital if certified as having a "personality disorder" or "a mental abnormality" which predisposes the person to "commit sexually violent offenses." Though Kansas's Supreme Court declared that law unconstitutional, the U.S. Supreme Court last year reversed that decision. Now a Kansan sexual predator can be confined to a mental hospital either for mental illness or for being a potential danger to society.

In California, 178 sexually violent predator felons were transferred to a state mental hospital. The hospital called Atascadero is infamous for its sex crimes programs. California's typical perverse civil commitment law releases violent sexual predators into the same county and locality in which they perpetrated their crimes.

Hospitalization in a psychiatric facility implies curable psychiatric illness. No valid scientific data demonstrates cure of sexual predators by psychiatrists' couches or by psychotropic drugs. The only guarantee against attackers repeating sexual predation is very long sentences behind bars.

Deporting illegal alien sexual predators works best only if they can be prevented from reentry. Lamentably lax border control makes reentry inevitable.

Illegal Aliens Are Spreading Dangerous Diseases Across This Nation

It is often said that the flood of illegal immigrants into this country is reaching 'epidemic proportions.' While that statement is true--it is just as true that the illegal immigrants pouring over the U.S.-Mexican border are endangering this country with actual epidemics. Tuberculosis, hepatitis, dengue fever, chagas, and even leprosy are being imported into the U.S. inside the bodies of illegal aliens...And you thought they only carried heroin-filled baloons inside their bodies!

A 'hot-zone' of disease can be found in this nations border states. Illegal immigrants are setting up so-called "colonias" just inside the states of New Mexico, Texas, and Arizona. The shanty towns are comprised mostly of cardboard shacks and huts made with cast-off building materials. They have no sanitation, and are surrounded by mounds of garbage. The estimated 185,000 illegals share their makeshift towns with armies of rats. Of course, diseases only common to Central and South America run rampant in these places.

One of the imports to this country is chagas disease. It is caused by a parasite known as trypanosome. It is a blood-borne disease and is spread by triatomine insects. The parasite burrows into human tissue (usually in the face), where it then begins to multiply. In addition to being spread by insects, it can also be contracted through blood transfusions.

After cases of chagas were reportedly discovered to have been spread by transfusions in Canada, that nation began testing all blood donations for the disease.

For 40 years, the number of recorded cases of leprosy within the United States totaled 900. Today, we know of more than 7,000 current cases of leprosy in the U.S.

Dr. John Levis of New York's Bellevue Hospital's Hansen Disease Clinic said of America's documented cases of leprosy: 'There are probably many, many more and they are spreading."

Most of those in the U.S. who are suffering from leprosy are from Mexico, India, Brazil, and the Caribbean. However, there are a few documented cases in which the person became infected with leprosy inside the U.S. The majority of the cases have been discovered in this nation's northeastern region.

Once thought to be nearly eradicated in this country, TB is now making a strong comeback. In a recent interview with Mother Jones Magazine, Dr. Reichman of The New Jersey TB Clinic recently said: In the 1990's, cases among foreign born Americans rose from 29 percent to 41.6 percent. Antibiotic resistant strains from Mexico have migrated to Texas. Since three years ago, 16,000 new cases of TB were discovered in the United States. Half were foreign born. Strains of TB once only found in Mexico have migrated to the border states of Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, and California. It will move north as illegal aliens work in restaurants as cooks, dishwashers, and food handlers. We sit on the edge of a potential catastrophe."

In 2001, New York's Tuberculosis Control Program discovered that 81 percent of that city's new cases of TB were attributed to immigrants

Cases of TB are now being found in many areas of the country, where there are high concentrations of illegal immigrants. In March of 2002, The Washington Post reported that Virginia's Prince William County experienced a 188 percent increase of TB infections over the previous year. Yes, the streets of Prince William County are over-run with illegal aliens seeking day-laborer jobs.

Last year, the rate of TB in the northern part of Virginia rose 17 percent. The Va. Department of Health blamed the rise on that region's recent flood of illegal immigrants. Many strains of TB are being found in certain neighborhoods, which are dominated by illegal Latin American immigrants.

The threats posed to our country by illegal immigration are many. However, our political leaders will undoubtedly continue to ignore them. Our own president is willing to place all Americans at risk, in exchange for securing the Latino vote for the Republican Party.

If left unchecked, illegal immigration will destroy this nation one way or another.

ILLEGAL ALIEN CRIME

A micro 9/11: Mary Nagle (search) allegedly killed by an illegal alien. — That is the subject of this evening's "Talking Points Memo."

Mary was a regular American, the mother of two small children, living the dream in the suburbs north of New York City. Last Friday, a power washing company showed up at Mary's house to clean the porch. A few hours later, police say one of the workers, an illegal alien, brutally murdered the 42-year old woman. The man then called the numbers on Mary's cell phone, taunting her family and friends with what he had done.

The alien, 29-year-old Ronald Gerera Castellanos (search), is a Guatemalan, who overstayed his tourist visa four years ago and has been running around ever since. Police arrested him a few hours after Mary was found dead.

In 2002, the guy was arrested for beating up a woman, but the judge let him go. And he skipped his court appearance. Despite that, he was still able to get a job with the washing company because he carried a California driver's license.

So Mary Nagle becomes yet another victim of illegal alien killers. She is no less a victim of our government's failure to protect us than all of those who died on 9/11.

There are thousands of other Mary Nagles you will never hear about because the government doesn't keep statistics on murders by illegals and the liberal press doesn't want to report these kinds of stories.

That's because the media generally supports lenient border policy, driver's licenses for illegals, sanctuary cities, and a "humane policy" for those who come to America illegally.

Now every sane American knows that most illegals are good people, just trying to fight their way out of poverty. "Talking Points" has said that many times.

But sane Americans also know the federal government refuses to enforce the immigration laws. And that puts all of us in danger.

Now we talked with Mary's family. And they're devastated, of course. A six-year old girl and an eight-year old boy will now grow up without a mom. A husband has lost his wife. What more can anyone say?

Most of us are under the illusion that the government will protect us from evil, that the taxes we pay and the people we elect will provide us some security against killers and terrorists.

Sadly, that is not true anymore. At least 11 million people are living here illegally. And nobody knows how many of them are violent. It is long past time for the American people to rise up and demand that all governments enforce the law. No more porous borders, no more sanctuary cities, no more criminal aliens released by apathetic judges.

Unless we the people demand this, more Americans like Mary Nagle will die even as the cowardly politicians and ideological media fiddle while immigration law burns.

Another dopey car chase, this one around Houston. Some thug stole a woman's purse. There he is. Oh, bang!

He's running away from the cops, first in a car and then he got knocked down. They grabbed him. This is a purse snatcher, OK? He's charged with a whole bunch of stuff, stupidity being one of the things.

The cop didn't run him over on purpose. It was a slick road, so they say. I don't know.

Anyway, it's the most "Most Ridiculous Item of the Day" because it's great video and that's why we picked it and it has no other merit.
