
PHOENIX -- This week’s Manhunt Monday Most Wanted Fugitive is an individual wanted by the U.S. Marshals after escaping from his trial for kidnapping while the jury was deliberating.
The target is identified as Isaias Chavarria. He is wanted for kidnapping a woman from her Phoenix home on Feb. 7, 2008. The investigation led to the identification of several suspects, including Chavarria.
On Sept. 7, 2010, Isaias Chavarria appeared at his trial to face the kidnapping charges. The jury began deliberations on Sept. 14, but Chavarria did not return to court after the deliberations. He could not be found by his attorney.
The jury convicted Chavarria of felony kidnapping, felony theft by extortion and felony aggravated assault.
